Driven by the passion for the classic gentleman's sporting timepieces from the 1960s, ROIH has given a facelift to one of the most popular designs from the watchmaking history "Skin Diver", to create its inaugural watch model "SHEK-O-MATIC" designed by 2 watch enthusiasts in Hong Kong.

ROIH, a.k.a. Roots of Industrial Heritage, is paying tribute to the golden era of the Dive Watch history by reimagining the popularized "Skin Diver", ROIH's SHEK-O-MATIC is presenting a modern interpretation to the retro aesthetic. It houses a slightly larger 39mm case as compared to the 35mm in the 60s, to accommodate modern taste that gravitate towards styles with a larger case; while keeping the tonneau-shaped silhouette inherited from the vintage skin diver watch case, staying true to the original spirit.

ROIH, as a micro watch brand itself, celebrates the spirits of challenging the status quo, and making our unique "Dressy-Sports" style distinct from those available in todays market. We are honored to share our passion in amplifying the heritage of the tool watch, while creating tribute to the timeless designs originated from the past.

源於對 1960 年代經典紳士運動時計(Dressy-Sports)的物質探尋，ROIH 重新審視了製錶史上具標誌性的結構 —「Skin Diver」輕裝潛水腕錶。以此為起點，我們透過首款作品 “SHEK-O-MATIC”，在香港開啟了一段關於歷史遺產與當代工業設計的實踐。

ROIH（Roots of Industrial Heritage，工業遺產之源）旨在向潛水時計的黃金時代致敬。SHEK-O-MATIC 並非單純的復刻，而是對復古美學的一場現代解構。我們將錶殼尺度微調至 39毫米，在回應當代審美張力的同時，嚴格保留了早期自由潛水錶傳統的酒桶型（Tonneau-shaped）輪廓線條，以此續寫器物最初的純粹。
